Movies

Today's 50¢ feature was Winnie the Pooh. Too bad the reel for Winnie the Pooh wasn't working so they showed us the new Ice Age movie instead. Score! (except for the first 15 minutes of the movie when Timothy repeatedly asked, "When's Tigger coming on?")

Shopping

Today I went teacher shopping with some teacher friends and then we went school clothes shopping for Thomas. In just a couple of weeks he'll be a kindergartener! (a very stylish one judging on the cool clothes that we got for school)

Potty Update

Timothy has been doing OK on the potty training. When he wants an m&m, he is more than happy to go. When he is playing or involved in something, he is happy to pee in his underpants/pull-up/on the floor.
Today, at the movie theater, he had to go 4 times. Really. I guess a large coke icee and the novelty of a public restroom with self-flushing toilets and automatic faucets and paper towel dispensers was just TOO exciting to sit through Puss in Boots.

Aquarium

We went to the Downtown Aquarium today. We saw a giant puffer fish that looked like he was smiling, a snake that was sleeping, and a white tiger pacing around his home.

We got to pet a sting ray (that was very slimy).
We rode on the ferris wheel.
We rode on the carosel.
And we splashed a lot.

Potty Time

Today we took the plunge and started potty training Timothy. He is so excited to go pee on his potty so he can get a reward. As he's peeing he shouts out, "I go t-t! I get M&M!" On day 1 of potty training he only had 2 accidents, so that's great!

What happened on Thursday, the 19th?

That's what I'm trying to remember as I back-date my blog posts.
-we went and got donut holes for breakfast
-I mopped the kitchen
-MiMi came over to babysit so I could go out to lunch with some teacher friends
-Thomas played the Penguin game on the Kinect and got all the way to the end
-Timothy took a nap
-we went to Hobby Lobby
-we went to Palais Royal
That's all I could come up with.  :-)

Vacation Day 4

Back in Houston, we enjoyed vacation day 4's event - BOWLING. We ALL went and embarrassed ourselves even with the bumpers up on our lane. Brian won, and Boonpa broke 100, and Thomas came in third, so mostly just me and MiMi embarrassed ourselves. But, we had a great time!

After bowling we finally got to eat some mexican food after going the whole vacation without it. :-)

Vacation Day 3

Today we went to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. Which is always equal parts fun and terrifying. Today was no exception.
We saw some animals.

We fed some animals and took turns driving the car.
We almost got eaten by some zebras.

We got out of the car to visit Lemur Island and the petting zoo.

We had some lunch, stopped at Buc-ee's (again) and made it home by late afternoon. A nice traveling day.

Vacation Day 2

After breakfast we went back to Sea World for a few hours. We started our day by feeding the hungry dolphins and visiting the aquarium.

Timothy and MiMi went to Sesame Street to play in the splash pad, eat chips, eat the marshmallows out of a baggie of Lucky Charms, drink Coke, spill Coke in a souvenir shop, and play in the splash pad.
Thomas, me, Brian, and Boonpa went to ride some rides as soon as they opened so we could miss the lines. We all rode the river rafting ride (Thomas' favorite) Rio Loco. Then Brian and Thomas rode Rio Loco again while Boonpa and I rode a real roller coaster, The Great White. Which I thought was great, but it made Boonpa feel sick. Then we all went and rode another water ride, Atlantis, where Brian was scared by the drop-offs. Then we met up with MiMi and Timothy and played in the splash pad for a while.
We left Sea World around lunch time and ate at CHICKEN-FIL-A (as Timothy calls it) and went back to the hotel for a nap. After dinner we went back to Sea World for a couple of nighttime shows. Injury #2 happened at the Sea Lion stadium when Timothy fell off the bleacher and hit the bleacher in front of us with his face. And got a red lump. And scared the crap out of everyone around us. He was fine though.
We played for a while after the shows and then went back to the hotel.

A FUN day 2!

Vacation Day 1

We loaded up and headed to Sea World! Of course, you can't pass a Buc-ee's without stopping, and Timothy wanted to take his picture with JUSTIN BEAVER, so we did that on the way.
Once at Sea World, we took pictures with the Sesame Street characters too.
We saw some shows and had lots of fun in the crowds and heat.
We had our picture made with SHAMPOO (as Timothy calls him) before we left.
Later that night, Dad had a girlie drink (pinky out) and Brian tricked us into going to a restaurant that we thought was mexican food, but really wasn't.
Timothy got his fingers smushed in the elevator door at our hotel. We'll call that injury # 1. Overall, a good first day though!

Lunchables

These pictures are from yesterday, but with the excitement from the circus, I figured I'd wait until today to post them.
The boys ate Lunchables at lunch. Thomas put as much meat and cheese on a cracker as he possibly could; then he had to take small bites of the monster cracker-stacker.
(he's really in to posing like he's taking a bite)

Timothy has to do everything Thomas does, so his cracker is heavily stacked as well.

Goobers.

The Greatest Show On Earth

We went to the CIRCUS! We were all very excited. We went before the circus started and got to see the animals and performers up close. The kids got circus tattoos, clown noses, and rubber bracelets. They also got to try on circus outfits and walk in the rings that the circus was going to be performed in.

We brought a couple of flashy-spinny-lighty things that they played with while the circus was going on. Timothy's favorite thing from the circus was "the man on fire." Thomas' favorite thing were "the clowns - because they were so funny!"
We had a wonderful time at the circus and will be going back next year!

Tricky

Thomas wanted to play a trick on Kelly and Jessica today. He asked me to spell out some words for him. He put this on the door so they would think we were gone when they got here.
It says "We r Not home. Look ArouND THe House"

Brushing

When brushing the hair of everyone who lives in our home, Timothy runs into a small issue. Daddy's hair shortage. Not one to be put off easily, he puts his hair brushing skills to good use on Daddy's facial hair. Including the eyebrows.
