Holy moly. I need to go grocery shopping again.

Hungry
These boys have spent all day eating. They had cereal for breakfast. Then some cheese crackers. Then a peach. Then some more cereal (dry this time). Then granola bars. Then chicken nuggets, fish sticks, and corn for lunch. Then strawberries. Then cookies. Then animal crackers. Then peanut butter sandwiches. Then a cheese quesadilla. Then tacos for dinner. (Thomas had 3) Then plain tortillas.

Garage Sale Day
We woke up early today to have a garage sale. We had tons of toys that needed to go. Also, Mom and Mark and Jon brought lots of stuff to sell. We had a great turn out and the kids made lots of money.
Timothy grabbed a walking, squeaking pig from Mark and Jon's table. It was his free treasure from the garage sale. Since it was free, he named it Free-toe the pig.

Not much
Not much happened today. We saw no sign of Mr. Jaime - he stayed home to watch the world cup. Mimi came to play with the boys while I went to a meeting. I cleaned out my clothes and shoes and got 2 large black trash bags full for donation. Still cleaning out/organizing. HAVE to be done by Sunday!

Shower update
Tilex + Brillo pads + a lot of elbow grease = no more crayon in the shower! Yay!
Mr. Jaime came over today to check out the repairs we need done and see if his little helpers are ready to work. Hopefully he can start tomorrow if there are no great games being played in the World Cup.
I need someone to teach my kids conversational Spanish because when Mr. Jaime said "Hola, como estas" to them, they just stared and didn't say anything. Turds.

Grrr Shower
I have been scrubbing this damn shower for DAYS! Trying to get the house sell-able. I'm figuring no one wants to buy a house with "h" written repeatedly in their shower. And colored grout. :-/
If anyone out there has a nemesis that you would like to punish, buy their kid bath tub crayons. Those bad boys do not come off!

June SA Day 2
Well, today was supposed to be another day at Sea World, but it was raining hard in San Antonio when we left the hotel. And it was supposed to do that on and off all day. So in the interest of staying dry, we headed out of town to find something else to do.
We ended up in New Braunfels at the Snake Farm.
It looks like a total dump from the outside. And it was not that nice on the inside either. But they had lots of cool animals that you could get very close to, so it was worth it for us.

June Sea World 1
Today was day 1 of our June trip to Sea World. This time around we're seeing all the shows and keeping our cast dry.
They've added an extra show to each of their big stadiums and the extra Shamu show was excellent. Better than the regular one. Today just happened to be one whale's 15th birthday. So they gave him frozen fish jello with whipped cream on top and sang happy birthday during the show. It was so cool!

Busy Day
So today was the first day of the short basketball season that we're doing this summer. Both boys could play in this league and they have a practice followed by a quick game on Saturdays only, so it's a pretty laid-back indoor sport for the summer.
This is Thomas' team. (He's inside the huddle.)
Timothy's not allowed to run or jump with his cast on, so he just went to meet his coaches, get his jersey (really it's more of a dress on him), and watch the quick practice.
Every kid in that place, no matter which age group, was more interested in chewing on the required mouth piece than playing the game. My 2 were no exception. Timothy sticks his out like he has a crazy yellow underbite.
After that, we cleaned out the garage! In the heat! But we got it done, so that's one more thing I can scratch off my to-do list.

Bamboozled
So Thomas was watching some cartoon where the kids were playing chess. After it was over, he decided to play chess. He got out his "no stress" chess game.
He has never played chess or been taught how to play. I have never played it either and have no idea of the rules. So he just made them up as he went along. In fact, he was missing 2 of the black pieces, (dunno what they're called) so he just made some out of paper.
The whole thing took FOREVER and it made me think of the Friends episode where Joey was auditioning to be a game show host for the wacky, mixed-up game, Bamboozled. So we all got BAMBOOZLED yesterday. :)

3 more weeks
Timothy had a follow up with the orthopedist today. He got the "all clear" to walk on his foot. It's still in the cast - a walking cast - but at least he can stop all the crawling and give his knees some time to heal. And he will have some time for sure, because the earliest he can get his cast off is July 10. And that's only if x-rays show healed bones on that day.
He asked the doctor if he can still go to Sea World. 😊 The doctor said yes but no splash zones.

Cleaning up/cleaning out
Today the boys and I cleaned out their rooms. Lots of toys were organized, we started a big garage sale box, and we sang and danced the whole time we worked. It made the day not such a drag.

They're back!
Kids came back today at dinner time. It went from quiet to super loud as soon as they walked in. But I'm glad they're back. Quiet just doesn't fit in this house!

A day with no kids
The kids spent the night with MiMi and Boonpa last night. So today I was a childless housewife.

Father's Day
Today was a very relaxing Father's Day. So relaxing, in fact, that a few of our guests fell asleep. :)

Matching
Timothy dressed himself today. He picked the blue shorts to match his blue cast and the yellow shirt because it's his cruise shirt.?.?

Donut Day!
Friday is donut day so that was our first stop this morning. Although, none of us actually had a donut. We all ate kolaches instead.
It was also the last day of VBS. Thomas got one last curly mustache and had a terrific time while Timothy and I ran errands all morning.
And let me just say that getting him in and out of the car/stroller/shopping carts is not easy. He is heavy. And it's hot outside. So I totally earned the 2 sangria drinks that I had at dinner tonight. Cheers to our first week of summer!

A new addition...
We added a Beta fish to our home today. Timothy and I picked him out for Thomas at our first trip to the pet store this summer. He's a blue Beta.
Thomas decided to name him Fish Jr.

Wonderful Wednesday
This morning was super busy!
1. Dropped Thomas off at VBS where he got one awesome mustache.
2. Took Timothy to the orthopedist for his hard cast. He picked blue.
3. Ran to Target.
4. Picked up Thomas.
5. Ran to Academy and Walgreens.
After that we were pooped so we stayed home this afternoon.

Good taste
According to Thomas' yearbook his Favorite actor/actress is Jimmy Fallon. (Or, phonetically, jimy falin)
Yay for having someone to watch The Tonight Show with me this summer!

Broken bones and VBS
The x-rays have been read and Timothy officially fractured 2 bones in his right foot. So today he got a splint to wear until Wednesday, which is when he'll get his cast. Boo.

Summer-Day 1
School's out, summer is here, my blog is back! Today was our first official day of summer and we just hung around the house this morning. This afternoon I completed my team mom duties for Timothy's baseball team by throwing one awesome end-of-season party at the splash pad.
Unfortunately, the dreaded first day of summer curse came back in full force.
(see http://amoonfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-curse.html, and http://amoonfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/today-list.html)
Timothy was running down the sidewalk by the splash pad and totally didn't see that the sidewalk stopped and had 4 steps down to the next part of the sidewalk. He missed all the steps and flew down to the next section landing on his hands, knees, and toes. He hurt his right foot. He can't put any weight on it without screaming and crying.

We made a trip to Urgent Care. They couldn't see anything on his x-ray so they wrapped his foot and sent him home. They're sending the x-rays to be read by someone else and then they'll call with the results.
So we have a wrapped up foot on a 45 pound boy that we now have to carry at all times. Brian and I both were actually grateful with this injury, because, holy moly, it could have been so much worse.
Happy summer!
